Hello,
My name is Barbara Zhuravsky Founder of Beautiful Mind Inc. I have been working with student from all levels including special needs for ten wonderful years! I have both personally and professional dedicated my career to helping students find their true potential. How do ask?
I address the learning process in its entirety. I use a highly comprehensive and holistic approach that combines academic and therapeutic interventions to address the students individualized needs. My specialized intervention methods puts emphasis on improving the underlying intellectual and mental abilities essential for maximizing academic potential. Monitoring progression is very important; therefore I conduct an Initial assessment followed by continuing formal and informal assessments. Assessment results are used to create a specialized tutoring program. I use scientifically proven techniques and strategies that are designed to boost academic skills and mental and emotional well being. Instead of focusing on the academic learning areas like traditional tutoring I addresses other areas of the education process in order to promote independence and self-reliance.

Being that I have attained a Masters degree in Mental Health and am completing my Doctorate in Psychology, I have had extensive experience with those of special needs and have successfully worked with student ranging from ADHD and Autism. I thrive on unlocking true capabilities academically and mentally.
