Beach Babies Infant And Preschool Center

PLEASE NOTE:
My hours of availability are based on my current position as a teacher's aide at Beach Babies Preschool and Infant Center. If you would like to hire me for a full-time position, such as a nanny position that requires me to be at your residence for a large proportion of the day, then I will terminate my position at Beach Babies and have a completely open schedule.

MY CHILD CARE TIMELINE:

2000 - I took a course on baby-sitting with the American Red Cross. I started babysitting and taking care of pets for neighbors, family and friends, and I continue to do so to this day. The children's ages that I have baby-sat range from 9 months to 12 years old.
2001 - I performed volunteer work at Ride To Fly, a therapeutic riding program in Rancho Palos Verdes. Here, I gained some experience with children with special needs and also with horses. The children's ages ranged from 4-years-old to 13-years-old.
2002 - I performed volunteer work at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in the Child Life Department. Here, I worked with injured, sick and terminally ill children as well as healthy children in the playroom attached to the waiting room. The children's ages ranged from 2-years-old to 15-years-old.
2007 - I had my first nanny job. I took care of a 2-year-old on a regular basis. I also performed light housekeeping and ran errands for the child's parents.
2008 - I started baby-sitting a 1-year-old on a regular basis. I have continued to babysit this child throughout her toddler and preschool years. I assisted in potty training and the development of learning skills.
2009 - I began my work at Beach Babies Preschool and Infant Center in El Segundo where I am currently a teacher's aide. At the center, I have worked with children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5-years-old. Presently, I primarily work with infants from the ages of 2 months to 18 months. Each day that I spend with the infants I use interactive teaching techniques to build important developmental skills (such as language, motor, social, creativity etc..) and non-aggressive forms of discipline. I have been with this preschool since September of 2009. I have gained much widespread knowledge about children and their development and care while working with this company.
