Post Partum doula are trained professional who assist families that are bringing home a new baby .We provide evidence based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother baby bonding and new born care. A postpartum doula is there to help a family in those first few days or weeks. Research has shown us that Moms, Dads and Babies have an easier time with transition if a good support team is in place. We offer many services but our main goal is to Mother the Mother. This includes things that make Mom and Dad more confident in their role, sharing education of family adjustment and tending to the unique needs of a new Mother. We work with each family individually to find out their particular needs. Some of the duties are Breastfeeding support, Newborn care, baby soothing techniques. Our services are usually a night time in order for Mom and baby to get a solid sleep routine. We do offer daytime service also. Our agency is especially helpful to new families who have little or no family support nearby. Postpartum Doula may also be paid from a Flexible spending account (FSA) or health saving account (HSA) dependent on what the guidelines are for their particular plan.
