Hello Friends! My name is Christine, owner of Bark Blvd. I made the decision to go into business for myself shortly after the 2014 new year. It was a decision I couldn't have made without relentless motivation from a very good friend, a stressful job, and my eternal love for dogs. The thought of running a business was scary and a bit overwhelming; but after a little research, that fear quickly turned into excitement. Some say, "Find what you love to do, and you'll never have to work a day in your life!" So that's what I did!

Adding "Sleepover" to my list of services was important because if you're anything like me, the thought of boarding your babies in a kennel for any length of time doesn't sit well. Uncertainty of my pets well-being can cause anxiety; anxiety can also occur in dogs when their owners are away, so it's imperative to create an atmosphere that makes them feel safe. What better way to create this environment, then a home? No kennels, no lock up, no constant shift changes; it's just us and for added piece of mind every pet owner has the option to create an activity schedule customized to fit their pets lifestyle.

Assistance with adoptions is one service I hold especially near my heart. I rescue stray dogs, foster them, and make it my priority to find them the right home. I match the dogs personality to the potential owners personality and its always a match, tailor made to fit. Sounds easy I know, but the process can take months and it's not as easy as it sounds. Getting a stray dog to trust you is an act of congress and that's just half the battle. Finding the right home is challenging and can be very time consuming, but once they are united, it's nothing short of bliss for everyone involved.
