Bakersfield, CA - 1/06/24 - The Tutoring program at Bakersfield School of Art and Music is achieving acclaim recently for a new "Sustainable Learning" program that's set to open up to public registration in March. Inspired by methodology used in teaching the arts, their system is delivering surprising results in English, Math, and Science tutoring.

When asked about the program School principle Natalie Irene Wren says "Most students enter private tutoring because the 'one size fits all' curriculum isn't clicking. We decided to try a different approach - instead of just going over those same generic worksheets, we're creating new material for each and every student."

A surprisingly simple concept, but how does it work? "It's all in the basics" Says Maria Valencia, Scholastic director. "When we teach students to play music, we make playing that music relevant to them and they get it. Just by taking the time to make the material relevant to the student, If they really grasp how to read, how to calculate, and how to research, then the homework happens. We've seen this."

While the program has been closed without a referral, starting March 1st, the Bakersfield School of Art and Music will open registration in the Math and English section. Currently, there is no set public date for their science, foreign language, and STEM programs to enter open registration but it is currently in the plan.
