Atwater Photo Camp And Workshops

The Atwater Photo Camp is an exciting photography learning experience that expands technical abilities and liberates creative vision.

This 5 day adventure begins with a basic overview of camera functions and ends with an exhibition featuring the kids work from the week. Through a series game,s scavenger hunts, expeditions and museum visits, we challenge the way we see; we learn through instruction and practice how to make images, rather than take them. Ultimately campers develop their photographic eye and learn new ways of seeing.

Photo Camp counselors are working photographers who have been in the indusrty for years, and with experience in education and childhood development, they understand how to ignite passion and curiosity within a non-competitve environment.

Students take home a packet of materials to help coach them technically,inspire them creatively and nurture their curiosity. Parents and campers receive a gallery with all their photos from the week.

The camp concludes with an exhibit of their work, which the kids present themselves. Friends and families are invited and encouraged to attend the celebration.

Overall, the experience inspires kids to explore their world in a deeper way, it challenges their perspective, and it helps them discover and develop their own unique voice.
