Ashleys Daycare

First off I would like to introduce myself and my family. My name is Ashley, I am a mother of 2 children, ages 5 and 3, and I am also expecting our third addition in September of 2014. I own my own home at the young age of 24 and am married to my best friend who supports every decision I make.
The corporate world is not for everyone, and I fall in that category. I love teaching, playing, and watching children grow to become bigger and better. My oldest daughter is currently in kindergarten fulltime, so my focus during the day is getting my 3 year old ready for her next adventures in life. I strive for that "AH HA" moment in a child where you can tell the light bulb just went on.
I currently have a completely refinished "garage" of my house that has been overhauled to be our play space. We have toys, games, books, paper, and LOTS of arts activities. We are very active with very little t.v. I try my best to get the kids outside when the weather is right. I have a full backyard that is completely fenced in that the children can explore and play in. It is equipped with a swing set, and a play structure, with a couple slides. For the summer time, we have child size pools and lots of water activities we can do to keep the kids active and cool in those hot weather days.
I believe in the "Thinking chair" where children are not in an original time out for misbehaving, but they are in a controlled space to think about their actions. My children draw pictures of what they will do better after a mistake is made.
I currently hold a degree in Medical Assisting, as well as have a current CPR and First AID card. I do transport my kindergartener to and from school, and I can provide transportation if needed.
I do have the sweetest 2 year old boxer/lab pup, named Sammy, He loves to play and explore with the kids outside, but while inside, he tends to spend his time laying on his bed. He is a very loving and gentle pup. When we introduce new families to him, he does tend to be hyper but we have a 3 day introducing process to maintain safety for both pup and child. Sammy also has a home inside my bedroom where he will stay if he is not behaving, or a family does not want him around. He does not mind being in there because he has a comfy bed to lay on and lots of toys to play with.
