Ashley's Child Care

Welcome to Ashley's Child Care. I have a passion for working with children and love getting to watching them learn and grow. As a former Preschool teacher (from a four-star Qualistar-rated ELC), Nanny and Mom of a one year old, I know the importance of providing children with a well-rounded day of learning and play.

Children can learn so much through free play, as well as structured activities. Each week I will pick a theme and I will provide age appropriate activities based around that theme. I have over 100 theme folders with some examples being animals, insects, nursery rhymes, transportation, and ocean. In the mornings we will do some structured activities such as art projects (using collage material, coloring, and painting), learning games (sorting, Vtech electronic learning toys) or special projects. We will also sing songs and learn about numbers, shapes and colors. And of course free play is always welcome! I have a wide variety of toys, learning games and puzzles for all ages and a great play space in the basement. I also have a huge library of fun children's books, as well as educational books. When the weather permits we will have fun going to the park and playing in the back yard.

I have a Bachelor's degree and have taken all of the required classes to become an Early Learning Teacher. I have over 13 years experience taking care of children of all ages (through babysitting and teaching). I can provide a loving, smoke free and pet free home. I am First Aid and CPR certified and have taken Universal Precautions. I also have experience working with the state's food program so I know the importance of serving healthy meals and snacks for children over 1. I look forward to hearing from you!
