I have 3 children of my own, and have experience as a teacher at a daycare as well. I have an 8 year old son, a 5 year old daughter, and a 3 year old daughter. I absolutely adore children and babies. I've felt like this was my calling since I was 16 years old. I worked for about a year at a local daycare, and was honestly upset at how things were going there (workers not following policies for health, sanitation, and safety) and had to eventually leave, but in my time there, I gained trust with my children and their parents, and even watched several of them at my own home after daycare hours. I am a good teacher, and I love arts and crafts. I try to stay away from using the television or computer very often, and instead love engaging them in imaginative play. I find it an accomplishment to teach my kids something new every day! I do not mind watching children at my home (which is kept tidy and child-proofed), or I can watch them at your home. I do not mind video monitoring, and am friendly to pets. I am not yet current on my CPR certification, but have been certified twice. I've also had certification on fire safety, food safety, and proper sanitation by the state's standards. I will re-certify for anything you'd like me certified in, in order to make you comfortable and feel safe leaving your child(ren) with me. I am open to working any hours with proper notice given, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year so whether you need someone just for while you are at work, or simply for a night out on the town or a date night, I am at your service.
