From the seed-like beginnings of infanthood to the branching-out stages of preschoolers, each child at Apple Seeds is valued and equipped to reach the fullness of his or her own potential academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

We also understand that just as a sapling cannot sprout without the combined efforts of the sun, the rain and the earth, this monumental task of child rearing cannot be done by one team alone. Thus, by working as a stable partnership, parents and Apple Seeds Child Development Center can nurture these precious seeds to grow into trees that bear fruits of success and admirable character.

Apple Seeds provides care for children in a Christian, family-style, atmosphere. We believe play, music, communication, and movement are very important parts of the healthy development of a child. Early childhood years are the most formative time in human development. During these years, the foundation for self-esteem is laid, and children learn to adapt successfully to the world. We provide the consistency of care that is essential for young children to thrive.

Apple Seeds encourages the development of critical thinking skills, creativity, imagination, and self-expression. During a typical day, each child spends time in individual and group activities, alternating between quiet and active times. Our program is structured, yet flexible in order to meet the ever-changing needs of each child in our care. The teachers plan daily activities to provide both a regular routine and a wide variety of learning experiences for every child. We will get to know your child and plan for his/her interests and needs.

Children's work is not differentiated from play. Variety and novelty are essential elements in arousing curiosity. Apple Seeds Child Development Center is an advocate for child's play. Play is the most critical gift we can give to our children. Through play, children learn how to interact with others, problem solve, explore, and develop talents and interests. Teachers at Apple Seeds know and understand how critical play is to the healthy development of children. With that being said, all of our programs allow for an ample amount of playing. Our typical daily schedule involves many kinds of learning in which your child will be engaged in while playing, such as:

* Creative Expression: art, painting, coloring, music, and movement
* Social Relationships: small and large group activities, and dramatic play
* Communication Skills: puppetry, storytelling, and sharing
* Reading Readiness: letter recognition, sequencing, writing, and language experience
* Math and Science: cooking, matching, sorting, sequencing, and number games
* Environmental/Science Awareness: nature walks, plants, and animals
* Motor Skills: movement, climbing, rhythm, and dancing
