Anna grew up outside the Ukrainian border in a small town of ~300 people. While her parents & older brother were out trying to support their family by selling produce at the local market (about 1-2hrs away)

Anna made sure her younger brother never starved & took care of the farm animals. Later, she moved to the states on Sept 11, 2001 with her family and 3 month old son-
