Animal Plan-it Pet Sitting

P.o. Box 911, Eagle Point, OR 97524

About

Owners Dave and Kirsten Jackson started Animal Plan-It Pet Sitting in early 2005. We love animals, have a dog and 1cat of our own and like to travel. Because of that we saw a need for pet sitting services and thought our experiences pet/house sitting for others and our desire to have our pets well taken care of while we were away made us right for this type of work. Initially we thought it would be a nice way to supplement our income, but as it turns out we were right about the need for our services, and as of late 2006, we have become busy more often than not. Currently we both have day jobs in human services but are looking at our business as a way to be self-employed and intend for Animal Plan-It Pet Sitting to be our primary income source within the next few years. Both of us grew up in the Rogue Valley after our respective families moved here in the 70's while we were children. We met while attending classes at Rogue Community College. We have a dog, Carlie, and Hazel whom we think of as members of our family. After rescuing Carlie from the shelter a few years ago, we began by trying to keep her off the furniture. We now have a couch fondly referred to as 'the dog couch' after feeling sad that she had to lie on the carpet. In our now limited spare time we still like to travel. We also enjoy skiing and golf. Kirsten enjoys doing beadwork,Dave enjoys playing guitar and all things related to music. He is an amateur gourmet who loves to BBQ.

Rates & Services

Animal Plan-It Pet Sitting offers a wide variety of services in your home. Prior to accepting a job or giving a final price we need to meet with you to go over instructions and familiarize ourselves with your pets and get to know their routines. There is fairly extensive paperwork as we want to provide the best service possible and have complete instructions. Please allow up to 90 minutes for this initial visit and plan for it at least 2 weeks prior to the beginning of our service. We do not consider that a reservation has been made until after this consultation when a contract has been signed. There is no charge for the initial consultation.

Most of our customers choose to have us drop in up to 3 times daily. These visits last roughly half an hour give or take a few minutes, but generally not longer than 45 minutes. The services we provide are tailored to meet your needs. Generally these entail feeding, exercise, affection, clean-up as needed, and medication admin.
Rates $12- $20 per visit
