Diana is a animal care professional, having spent more than 15 years working and/or volunteering for animal sanctuaries, shelters and rescue organizations in Hawaii and Oregon.
In 2001 she started a non-profit animal rescue organization Shelter Animal Resource Alliance (S. A. R. A.) with the mission to rescue, assist and advocate for shelter animals. Over the next 8 years she and S. A. R. A. rescued more than 800 dogs and 350 cats from animal control facilities and other life-threatening situations, transferring them to progressive adoption programs or fostering them and find them loving homes directly.
In 2008 she, her partner Rick and her three rescued canine "kids" relocated to the beautiful Oregon coast.
