I am the mother to a 2 1/2-year-old boy and 3-month-old baby girl, as well as a K-8 Elementary Spanish teacher. I have been teaching for 10 years and I received my Master's degree from Moravian college in curriculum and instruction in 2010. Prior to my years in public education, I worked as a childcare provider in a daycare and summer program for 4 years and gained experience working with children ages 6 months through kindergarten. In addition, I instructed preschool Spanish classes for 2 years from 2004-2006 in a private tutoring center.
I am a loving, upbeat, enthusiastic person who loves children and loves to teach, sing, and play. I promise to love and care for your child as though he or she were my own, as our children are our most precious gifts. Our daily routine for all ages would include: calendar review, songs, stories, activities, crafts, and both outdoor and indoor play. In addition, Spanish concepts would be introduced and developed each month in a fun way.

Since children learn mainly through play, both structured and free play are important parts of our daily activities. Educational toys, games, and activities are part of the structured play time each day. Through play, your child will discover concepts such as object-permanence, cause-and-effect, the development of fine and gross motor skills, and pre-reading and math concepts. In addition, play encourages your child to develop essential skills such as turn-taking and self-expression, and develops his or her imagination.

I am way more than just a babysitter. I can provide the same learning environment your child would encounter in a preschool, but in the comfort of his or her own home and without all of the germs! My positive attitude, enthusiasm, and patience will not disappoint! I look forward to meeting you.
