Amy's Home Day Care

Hi Utah families,

My name is Amy. I am from San Diego, California and I will be moving to southern Utah this summer. I have been providing home childcare, for families in the San Diego community, since 2012. I graduated from SDSU in 2009 with a BA in Child Development. I am a former nanny, and preschool teacher. I love working with families, building relationships with them, and providing responsible, loving care in a safe, and clean environment. My job as a caregiver to your child goes beyond just watching your child. Establishing trust, Understanding your child's needs and meeting their needs, recognizing milestones and or stages of development and seeing your child through those times, playing, laughing, and sharing their day with you, are all a part of what I enjoy doing. Because I am not familiar with the area, I am trying to establish what the community needs. I am thinking about putting together a Pre-K program for ages 3-4 years of age. However, I am also open to accepting children as young as 2 and working with the 3-4-year-olds separately. I would like to be available to parents who have to work early so I am considering the hrs of 7am to 3:30 pm.

I currently have my own home daycare and I am a stay-at-home mom of two wonderful children, ages 14(daughter) and 7(son). Since the age of 7, my daughter has been homeschooled. It's been a wonderful journey to see her grow academically. She is now self-taught and has a love for learning. My son is in first grade and is also thriving. He was reading at the beginning of kindergarten. Giving children a developmentally appropriate foundation in the basic fundamentals of language arts and math is what I would like to achieve with your child along with other activities that they will enjoy.

I am also available for hire for babysitting during the weekends.
