After years of working with children in the local school system and an area childcare center, I have made the decision to bring kids into my home to love and care for!
A little about me- My name is Amanda and I am a life long resident of Paw Paw and married to my HS sweetheart, we have two daughters ages 15 & 12. I have multiple college credits in early childhood education and I am CPR/ first aid certified. I started working in daycare at 18 years old and fell in love with the quirks and unconditional love from all the children in my care. After five years and a marriage, I took some time off to start my own family and only went back to work after my youngest went off to school...I then realized I needed/wanted to get back to working with children outside of the home. I ended up in the TeenAge Parent program in the Paw Paw alternative education building. This program allowed teen parents to finish their high school classes while having on site childcare. I loved this job and still keep in contact with several of my girls! After 5 years with the school I had a call from a local center wanting my services. I made the move and was given the role of lead teacher in the potty training room and then also lead teacher in the infant room. Always looking to better myself I made the decision to bring children into my home to care for. I look forward to watching children grow physically and also cognitively...from first steps to baby sign language to first words!
