Alyssa's In-home Childcare

Hi- My name is Alyssa
I am a professional, naturally-minded, Montessori-inspired, Christian nanny with a Bachelor's degree in Children's ministry from Moody Bible Institute (including child development and child psychology classes) offering play-based, family-style care in my home.

I have two children of my own and openings for 2-3 additional children. I have a lot of experience with groups of children in various capacities and 7+ years experience as a nanny. I'm hoping to connect with families who see the value that my in-home setting can bring: a loving and personal nanny/family relationship with the added benefit of socialization for their children in a small group family-like setting.

When in my care, your children won't simply sit around and watch T.V. all day. This small group environment gives us the flexibility to get out of the house for trips to the park, library, zoo, etc. Along with that, I believe I am able to provide more individualized care in this setting than a typical home daycare. I love to create and facilitate activities and learning experiences that cater to the unique developmental stages and interests of each child in my care.

Part of the way I do this is by creating an environment where kids are free to play and explore their world with gentle and loving guidance and support. I love being outside, reading, music, doing crafts, and just spending time playing with the kids. We have a play set and good sized backyard garden that I love to involve the kids in as well. I value creativity, play-based learning, and helping children conquer new, independent tasks as they learn and grow.

I genuinely love and care for the children in my life. Childcare is more than just a job to me; it is an investment in the life of a child. Even when caring for multiple children, I see each as an individual- with their own personality and needs. The younger years in the life of a child are so important developmentally; the experiences they have at these ages can be very impactful for years to come. I strive to help lay a strong foundation for kids in early childhood that can be built on for years to come. I want to see each child in my care learn and grow and be loved every single day.
