I have worked in the childcare & early childhood education industry for the last 13 years at the same childcare center. During my time there I spent 5 years working with 2-year-olds, 4 years working with preschool/pre-k classrooms, 1 year with infants, and nearly 3 years at the administration level as the assistant director.
I am certified in the following: First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse, Communicable Disease. Over the last 2 years I have completed 40 hours of additional training on topics on managing social, emotional, psychological, and behavioral expectations for children.
I undergone ODJFS Transportation training and drove childcare buses for the last 6 years and feel comfortable driving children.
I do have an 18-month-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. Between the craziness of COVID and my daughter doing online schooling for the next year I am looking for a change that will accommodate these needs and allow me to give more time to my family.
