My family daycare provides childcare in a home setting. Our licensing allows us to care for children as young as 6 weeks old to preschoolers and after school children. My staff is all trained in first aid & CPR and two of us have our CDA training. Also, there is one staff member with the medication training and we offer a private space for breast feeding moms. At Alyssa & Friends Daycare, we value the trust of the parents when leaving their child at our daycare therefore we strive to provide the best care possible. Being a parent myself, I knowing there is some separation anxiety when leaving your child in a daycare. That is way we work together with our families to support our children in their social-emotional needs. We believe in providing a welcoming environment, where children feel validated and loved. We focus on constantly talking to the children about the "whys" of things, how to show their emotions, how to make good choices, explaining the use of an object and we learn through the study of a topic that are part of a weekly lesson plan.
