Alicia's Daycare

My name is Alicia, and I am opening an In-Home Daycare in the beginning of February.
Previously, I was a preschool teacher at one of the Goddard schools in the area. From working there I have gained a lot of knowledge on how to effectively run a fun and nurturing learning environment. I absolutely loved my job as a teacher, and getting to interact with the children. The only reason I have now decided to start a daycare; is because in November I gave birth to my daughter and would like the opportunity to stay home with her, but to still be able to put my skills and love for teaching and caring for children to use. Also, from working at the preschool, I have all state mandated clearances including a Pennsylvania Abuse History Clearance, National Background Check as well as a State Police Background Check, child care references, and CPR, First Aid and Fire Safety training.
I am looking to watch 3 children, full-time if possible, in my home in Middletown, Pennsylvania. My hours are very flexible Monday through Friday to best meet the needs of the families I will be providing services for. Weekends occasionally, if needed, may be provided. I will be providing any meals and snacks that the children need, unless there are specific needs, allergies, or substitutes made by parents; or if the child is still formula/breastfeeding or still on baby food.
I will strive to create of fun and nurturing environment where your children can grow and learn, and provide them with fun activities that they can engage in to stimulate them and get their little minds thinking. I will encourage reading, art, and fun outdoor activities in appropriate weather as well. I will do whatever I can to best accommodate the families that I work with to make them feel as comfortable and as much like family as I can!
