Alicia's Child Care

I am a credentialed teacher who holds a bachelor's degree in Child Development. While English is my first language, I also speak Spanish fluently and have worked with children for over twenty years. I am certified in first aid and infant/child CPR. My education and experience help me to provide excellent care and instruction for children of all ages. As a stay-at-home mom, who presently home schools her three daughters, I have the opportunity to babysit and tutor an additional one or two children.

An important part of my childcare philosophy is helping children learn social skills as well as academic. I design developmentally appropriate activities that engage their minds and help them grow. When children come to my house, they interact with my three daughters, ages nine, six, and eleven, participating in fun projects in a rich learning environment. Within a day, depending on the age of a child, he or she will work on fine and gross motor skills, practice reading or be read to, complete art projects, improve basic math skills, gain knowledge of science through gardening, learn manners and communication skills, and benefit from a loving home environment. Just to clarify, this is not a child care center. This is care given in my home, which is a very natural environments for children. I charge hourly, ranging from $15-$20/hour depending on your specific situation and needs. I also offer a sibling discount. I can take children ages 4 months to 11 years old. I can assist with potty training and will provide nutritious snacks and meals for your child when he or she is in my home. Of course formula and diapers need to be provided by the parents.
