There is a great correlation between the arts and achievement in the classroom. Children who learn to paint develop spatial reasoning and fine motor skills, order and sequencing abilities, visualization, and self-discipline as well as fundamental art skills. Our curriculum introduces concrete ideas and techniques that enlarge their visual understanding, enrich their imaginations and their minds. Also I teach children both art history as well art interpretation. My class is not only about creating a painting is about understanding the history of art and the different artist techniques and approaches and executing their own masterpiece that would be exhibited at the end of the class in a class show.
