Affectionate Care is a brand new residential assisted living and memory care home currently being built in Richmond, TX. Opening in the fall of 2020. At affectionate care we take pride in assisting you with all of your activities of daily living so that you can focus on enjoying all of life's precious moments with your loved ones. We are here to meet the desire for a better quality of life in a "home-style" environment. We offer 24-hour caregiver support, on call physicians and RNs, private bedrooms with private baths, dietician-approved home-cooked meals, housekeeping and laundry services, social activities, physical and mental exercise opportunities, and low resident to staff ratio. We will also have a spacious beautiful back yard with walking trails, a gazebo, flower/vegetable garden, golfing, pet therapy and more. We also have a number of indoor activity areas such as: movie area, technology center, wellness studio and hair salon. We also offer respite and hospice care. Some of the things that set us apart from other assisted living homes are:
- Our Advanced Comprehensive Medication Management program (more than just supervised drug administration). We have our own on-site board certified pharmacist dedicated solely to our residents to conduct in-dept detailed clinical reviews of each resident's medications. This service significantly impacts drug safety/usage, improves drug tolerance, reduces side effects, drug interactions, reduces hospitalizations/healthcare costs. We'll also look at whether there are any less expensive alternatives that might help save you money, make sure you're taking the right meds in the right way and at the right dose
- Innovative emergency response system software includes: fall detection and prevention notifications, health tracking, physician/family/friends notification enabled, GPS tracking for wandering and Dementia and help emergency help button. This system also offers state of the art tracking/tracing for COVID-19/Flu outbreaks to help immediately manage and curtail the spread of infections.
