N.A.E.Y.C accredited, Mass Licensed. Our early education and care center is developmentally based, operates full-time (6:30 AM to 5:30 PM), year round, 5 days per week. Open enrollment. We care for infants through age 5. We use ASQ-3 "family completed child assessment system" and the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment tools. Progress Reports 4 times per year. Our outdoor play space is fenced-in and is large enough for 178 children and is very unique. Staff follow themes to create curriculum that reflects the ages of the children in the group, yet can be individualized. The facility is bright and cheerful and invites learning. We have a "happy school". A diverse population of children attend the center. We are well connected in the community and can assist families find resources when in need. Vince and Carol Pellecchia, owners, have a long history as "pioneers" in the child care field and are well-known for excellent "award winning" programs dating back into the early 1970's. Notable programs: created one of the first Family Day Care Systems; implemented the Child Care Food Program for 14 Head Start centers and their Family Day Care system (created by Vince); First to operate on-site childcare centers for Mount Wachusett Community College (10 years) and Fitchburg State (College) University (18 years). Also assisted MWCC to implement the Early Childhood Education Certificate and Associate Degree programs. Implemented one of the first 4 Demonstration Voucher Day Care Programs in Massachusetts that was chosen to be implemented state-wide.
