I feel that each child is unique and brings a special talent to the world. I want to help them to identify what these talents are. Teaching goes beyond ABC s and numbers. We want our kids to be smart , talented, and gifted in school. However, more important we want them to be good persons. To have good morals and standards. To have the ability to make good decisions and do their best, not because someone is watching, but because it s the right thing to do. I promote older, but good values. Values that stand for discipline, respect for authority, academic achievement for its own sake, manners, goodness, and common decency.
As schedules permit, I host family training classes bringing the new information I have learned back into my community. Parental involvement is very important. Parents and family are encouraged to participate in program related activities.
At Adams Family Home Daycare a child has all the comforts and security of a home setting with a wide range of appropriate activities. One of our goals is to promote school readiness. Our curriculum focuses on developing children in reading, writing, math and science. Screen time is minimal and is only used for educational shows or our movie day . We also make sure that our kids are physically able to learn by teaching such things as how to sit in a chair properly, the pincer grip, raising our hands, and sharing. There is also a daily time given for outside activities. Not only do the children get the chance to develop their large muscles thru outside activity and exercise, but we also have the opportunity to learn about playground safety and nature.
Interesting conversations, stomach aching laughter and heartwarming smiles create memories and more in our home. It is about making responsible citizens beyond school.
