Active Learning Center

Active Learning Center, as my child care is called, is the result of my love for working with young children and my desire to stay home with my son. While I received a B.A. degree, I had my son before finishing the Teaching Credential Program. I knew that if I were to open a child care, it would not be a "typical" one. I feel very strongly that young children learn an enormous amount in the first years, and I would do everything possible to maximize their potential later on in life. I believe that a love of learning is in the child's nature, and it is the responsibility of adults to foster and encourage learning. I also believe that no two children are exactly alike, and that is why we have made room for an activity room, two classrooms, a playground, and an art studio, to nurture different learning styles. Most importantly, I opened a child care because I truly feel passionate about what I do. I believe that a tour of our facility would reveal that.
