Being a full time caregiver for a loved one who is challenged with Alzheimer's is a never ending responsibility. Monday to Friday it's a tight schedule to keep up with shopping, home,and auto maintainace, doctors appointment and not to mention that must work for a living! Issues of ones pun health care and other personal needs get pushed aside.
I have found the Saturday respite prog at Acacia Place gas given me the oppurtuinity to recognizemy own needed, and be able to to find time to be friends ,to have done recreation , to acknowledge the need to better care for myself.
