I left my two dogs here for a week and they were frantic to get out when we picked them up. Both had to relieve themselves as if they hadn't gone in days right out the door. My lab's left leg was severely swollen from laying on concrete all of the time he was there, within a week he developed a massive fluid sack on the leg that ruptured and became infected. We had to put him to sleep as a result, the the staff and owners denied that anything was ever wrong and even attempted to lie and slander me to my own wife. After digging through some of their older reviews on yelp, I found that I wasn't the only one to put their dog down after a stay at Abraxas, save yourself the trouble and don't be the next.

I used this kennel a few times and once I realized that on holidays they double dogs up in small kennels that are not related. We did not have a say in this because it was done without our consent. Our dog had a heart issue and was not neutered, he needed downtime and they put somebody elses dog in with ours. Which is funny because our dog could not go into the playtime with other dogs because he wasn't neutered and we had to pay extra for individual playtime.They get double the money for the kennel. We never went back once we were advised that doubling the kennels was a standard practice of theirs. They act like someone is there 24/7 and this is not the case as well. Our dog would fight us every time we tried to take him there. We carry a lot of guilt about leaving him there. We never returned him there after they told us that they put dogs together on busy holidays. BE AWARE!
