About the business
I am a middle school math teacher who has worked with intensive through advanced students. I currently teach 7th grade general math and 7th grade Algebra 1. My algebra students have exceeded the district in district testing and continue to soar. I have also taught 6th and 8th grade math. I have been tutoring for a few years and have watched my students grow academically. I pride myself in offering different ideas for figuring out the math and guiding them towards solutions through questioning and perseverance. I will guide your student towards success and am a huge believer in being a positive, encouraging teacher.

Have know this amazing teacher for years as a co-worker. She has helped the children of several friends with math over the years and has always done a tremendous job, they all raved about her (students and parents alike). When my son also needed some help in pre-Algebra last year, she was the one I thought of for help. His scores have gone up and even better his confidence has gone up too. He outscored many of his classmates in his advanced program on the county Algebra midterm this year thanks to her help! I don't have to ask if he needs a session- my son asks me - "Can you set up a session with Ms Julie so I can go over things to be sure I understand before my next test?" I cannot say enough good things about her willingness to help and her style of teaching, meeting the students where they are at to start and bringing them to where they need to be. HIghly recommend!
