A Mother's Hand

A Mother's Hand is an in home day care that desires to care for your
infant, toddler and preschooler. At A Mother's Hand our primary goal is school readiness both academically and behaviorally. I utilize music, song, dance, art and imagination to create learning experiences. I find utilizing these modalities makes learning easy and fun for children. I also focus on building self esteem and personal accomplishments. By employing our curriculum, our children will utilize performance and effort to achieve their goals. We, as a day care will then celebrate these achievements. Through recognition of these accomplishments children will see their efforts are worthwhile, therefore building self esteem.

Children with special needs are welcome. I particularly enjoy working with children who have cognitive impairments. I have had extensive training and hands on experience working with children who have developmental disabilities. Working with this population has always been a positive for me.

I am qualified to care for your children due to the fact I am a mother
and I have two accomplished grown children. As a teen, I cared for my
family members and neighborhood children. As an adult, I was
employed within day care facilities, as a child care provider. I am also
a licensed Social Worker with a Master's Degree. My main
concentration when I worked in the social work field was children. My goal was to improve the quality of their lives. I believe I did just that. My experiences within the social work field along with my direct hands on experiences as a child care provider will only benefit the work I do with the children within my in home day care. I love children and I want to be a catalysis to spring board them into the next positive phase in their lives.
I am motivated to provide a safe, challenging enriching educational
environment for your child. I have the skills to provide the quality care
parents require for their children. I am also First Aid and CPR certified.
