About

At A Little Family Daycare, we are committed to providing your child with quality in-home care by encouraging self-expression through language, art, music, and physical activity. Our Kinder Prep structure places emphasis on learning through play which will build socialization and self-help skills and will also improve their self-esteem.

Our day will consist of one or more of the following: Use and development of language skills, use of large and small muscles, use of materials that encourage creativity and imaginary play, daily indoor and outdoor activities (pending the weather), active and quiet play, individual and group activities.

The children will be taught to clean-up after themselves by putting toys away, clearing the table after a meal or snack, and cleaning up after rest time. They will also help with outdoor chores such as taking care of the animals (feeding the chickens, collecting eggs, and changing hummingbird feeder) as well as gardening chores (planting seeds, picking herbs and flowers, and watering plants).

We are licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services to provide in-home care for up to 8 children at any given time (License #406215946), with certifications in infant, child, and adult First-Aid, CPR, and AED, Preventative Health & Safety, and Nutrition.

I have a bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology with minors in sociology and intergenerational studies, which includes 12 credits in Early Childhood Education coursework. I am qualified to teach and counsel. I also have over two decades of experience working with infants and children, which includes children with ADHD and/or autism, those with depression syndrome, and trauma victims.

We are open from 7:45am-5:45pm, Tuesday - Friday, excluding major holidays. All meals are provided, which includes breakfast, AM snack, lunch, and PM snack.
