Over the past 20 years, Dr. K-T has worked in one-on-one and classroom settings in charter schools, private schools, childcare centers, summer camps, and enrichment programs with children as young as infants up through 8th grade. As an entrepreneur and educational leader, she has launched an early literacy blog in 2011 that was nominated for an award in education, and founded A First Foundation, LLC in 2013 which has also been nominated for awards and has served hundreds of families. In addition, she was the founding Head of School in 2017 for St. David's Episcopal Day School where she served for over 3 years. Dr. K-T has also held adjunct positions at several local colleges and universities such as St. Joseph's Univeristy, Rosemont College, and Temple University, teaching courses in cognition, psychology, statistics, and research methods. She has contributed to the scholarly literature and research in these fields. and has presented lectures, workshops and trainings at conferences. In her spare time, Dr. K-T enjoys spending time with her two children, running (although very slowly), and learning about the science of reading.
