52nd Street Daycare home based childcare program in Ohio City, right on the edge of Gordon Square, accepts children 18 months-2.5 years old.
52nd Street Daycare is a small childcare facility managed by a professional childcare provider of 17 years. We keep only 4 full time children and one part time spot per class and limit our availability to a 1 year age range to keep children grouped with appropriate peers. Our flexible curriculum provides fun activities to stimulate young learners to develop mentally, emotionally and physically. Books, sensory bins, outdoor play space and musical instruments are just some of the tools we use to provide varied activities throughout the day.
We provide morning and afternoon snack as well as emergency diapers and chlorine free, scent free, wipes but request that you pack a healthy lunch and a regular supply of diapers/pull ups, wipes and/or potty training supplies. Any food provided by us will be primarily organic, sugar free and nutritionally balanced. We only use chemical free cleaning products in our facility and limit the use of plastic supplies an toys when possible. All meals are eaten communally with the instructor to help reinforce good table manners and eating habits.
Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30 and have an open door policy for registered parents. We may be able to provide late pickup options on a case by case basis. Weekly dues are $200/week and we're looking for families who are able to commit to at least 1 month as we believe we're able to provide the best experience to children we have a chance to get to know.
** 52nd Street Daycare was created by Nikki Yeager, and Entrepreneur and Marketing Specialist, who was desperate for a great childcare setting. Nikki believes that children easily get lost in the mix at large daycare facilities but found that traditional nannies lacked the educational know-how to help her toddler develop mentally, verbally and emotionally.
