| Hello my name is Charlie. I am a 24 year old, Scottish lass, I am Moving to Canada end of September. I am an ex outdoor instructor. Currently I am a support worker for adults with disabilities. I also babysit on the side, and do respite with an awesome, autistic boy. As an outdoor instructor, I specialised with adults and children who have disabilities. I have been working with children for 10 years in many different environments. I am outgoing, energetic, open and bubbly. I love being part of the development of adults and children in terms of what they can do and what they didn't know they could. I am very hands on and love trying new things. I am a big foodie and love cooking and would say my cooking is at a high standard. I love making everything from scratch and using fresh ingredients. I am not shy when it comes to housework so if that comes with the role, that would not be an issue at all. I am very flexible but preferably would be looking to work full time and live out. | Experienced Childcare Worker/Educator with Experience in Behavior Management and Autism: I have my Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies, my diploma in Early Childhood Education and a Diploma in Autism and Behavioral Science. Children are my passion and I enjoy implement activities that promote their development. I seek not to babysit children, but to provide them with vital learning experiences which they can grow from. I have tons of experience in the field thus far, with many age groups and children with special needs. I am skilled at managing problem behaviors and promoting learning. I most recently worked as a Behavior Therapist for children with Autism. I have worked in multiple daycare classrooms with all ages. I completed over 600 hours of field placements at locations such as Ontario Early Years Centers, Community Living North Halton (resource consultation) and the Halton Reaching Out Centre For Kids. I am an animal lover and love the outdoors. I am looking to provide fun experiences and a loving relationship to the children I work with.
