| Hi there! I am currently a student at Mount Saint Vincent University, taking the Child and Youth Studies undergraduate program. I have been involved in childcare (ages newborn -16 years old) since I was 12 years old and have been in my school program for 2 1/2 years. I have tutored, volunteered with children in low income elementary schools, been a full-time summer nanny and have helped home school on several occasions. I have an updated criminal record check and child abuse registry check, as well as an updated first aid certification. I am familiar with working with children with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD and behavioural difficulties, often tailoring my care to the children's needs as they arise. I pride myself in open communication with parents, including written reports about their children's day when requested. To give you some information about myself, I am very physically active, including hiking, swimming, and being outdoors. I am passionate about designing sensory activities for children and exploring their ideas to help foster creativity throughout the day. My goal is to always build relationships with families and their children to provide them with positive and lasting memories each day I'm with them.

| In Junior high, I help someone in a wheelchair do their walking stuff ,also looked after my cousin who has autism, I also have help my stepdad who is in a wheelchair due to an accident. I help people with mental illness. My mother has Add,ADHD and others. I also help my friend who has boarderline personality disorder

| I have many years work with people with varying special needs from the teen I homeschool now with asd to the volunteer work I've done with persons with cerebral palsy( verbal or non verbal) I've also done a fair amount of work with diabetis and carb counting. I love working with persons with varying abilities it is a great passion of mine. I love helping people period no matter their age or ability.

When I became a private instructor I began to work more with some special needs children to develop swimming techniques that are more comfortable and efficient based on ability. I also had some experience with a physiotherapist who came to teach me about how to best help my client in the water which opened my interesting futher to working with people of special needs.
