| As a recent graduate from George Brown College with an Advanced Diploma in Behavioural Science Technology, I was given the opportunity to complete 3 co-operative placements at various support centres primarily working with clients of various ages who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Following my Graduation, I was offered a full-time position working with Adults who have been diagnosed with ASD. I was responsible for managing clients concurrently on a weekly basis while providing therapy using Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) techniques to implement behavioural plans and provide support at work placements and while in the community. I am currently enrolled at York University for a double major program for Education and Psychology.

| My name is Elizabeth and I am a 25 year old student at York University studying Health and Society for children and youths with Mental Illness. I am also a behaviour therapist for children and youths with ASD and was a former swim instructor for 7 years. With that being said, I am also a head coach for Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club for an all girls team. I am very kind, nurturing and responsible for any child and always put a child’s needs before my own. I understand the basic needs and all around needs for a child and youth with Autism and able to develop a plan/program to ensure that each individual is able to meet the required skills for everyday life. | I have been working with all children in a number of settings for the past 10 years. I work based on a creative and compassionate philosophy, encouraging kids to interact with the arts, while being attentive to their unique needs. I have a degree in psychology and I am currently acquiring hours for my graduate program to become an Art Psychotherapist. Because of this, flexible part-time hours work best for my schedule.

1 year experience with 20 - 24 year old males in a group home environment. Residents had Autism, Developmental Delay and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. 9 years experience with Seniors who were frail, had Dementia or other mental concerns.

As outlined in my resume, I have over 10 years of experience working with special needs kids as a Special Needs Assistant at Toronto District School Board (2004-present). In this capacity, I have developed the expertise in behavior shaping, and assisting in the academic, communication skills and functional living skills instruction of children with developmental disabilities, including autism. Additionally, through the workshops and training courses that I continually participate in, including BMS, CPI and ABA, I have become adept at managing challenging behaviours, and using non-violent intervention methods. My familiarity with the Early Reading Intervention Program helped develop and improve reading skills in students who are at risk. I also work as a respite worker since 2009.

| I am a Developmental Support worker with the Simcoe District School Board. I work with children with disabilities, and after work I provide respite services and babysitting services. Currently looking for new clients, my availability is after school (4pm and onwards).
