2 Years of Experience working in retirement residences - extensive senior care training

I have ~2 years of experience in retirement homes in various positions including housekeeping, laundry, and dietary. While these positions don't focus on senior care, it was a large part of my job. I have many hours of training in senior mental health care, dementia education, de-escalation techniques, medical emergencies, and transfer techniques. Further, I have been trained to use various patient transfer equipment including patient lifts, raising slings, standers, transfer chairs, bathroom and shower equipment. I worked in conjunction with PSW's to provide optimal senior care, companionship and recreation, regardless of whether it was part of my position or not, I would always make time in my tight schedule to attend to these seniors. Over time you learn about their life, their triggers, what calms them, their special needs and specific preferences, and in a given workday I would have to remember these factors for 60+ residents. I have experience working with independent residents, those who have severe dementia and other illnesses, and everyone in between. I've always made great strides with the "difficult" residents that my coworkers struggled to achieve and I'm confident I can provide you some help.
