| Hi! I'm a Newborn / Postpartum Doula, and Maternal Support Practitioner. I help families shortly after the birth of their baby (during that amazing first year that can be both beautiful and challenging)! I offer daytime as well as overnight care, so that families can get a break, and some rest, in order to feel their best! I also offer sibling care, to provide families time to get to know their new baby! :) I'd love to tell you more about the type of help I'm trained to provide, and I'd be so happy to answer any of your questions! I have a current first aid & CPR certificate (Level C) with the Red Cross. The care, support, and safety of you and your loved ones, is my top priority. Oh, and depending on my availability, I'm happy to accept regular babysitting jobs as well! Let's chat! :)

| Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m currently a 4th year psychology student at Carleton University & after university I aim to go to teachers college. Prior to Covid I worked as a part time nanny for a family I found on Care.com. My duties consisted of supervision, meal prep, & activity planning for a 3 year old. I also worked as a Children's Party Host at Chiquicuts where I performed salon services for birthday parties, ran various party activities and supervised the children. I have worked as a counsellor at 2 summer camps; City of Cambridge day camp & Hockey Opportunity Camp which is overnight. Within these positions I was responsible for not only the supervision of children, but also program planning, leading various activities & swim supervision. I also spent 2 years volunteering at children's camps before I was employed. I am certified in the High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development & I also have my first aid & CPR-C certifications. I was a fully certified lifeguard up until this past January but chose not to go through with the recertification process at the time due to the pandemic. I have worked in children's overnight camps for the past 5 years, taking care of children of all ages, and up to 20 kids at a time. I recently worked as a live-in aupair (nanny) in Australia for 6 months. I have been casually babysitting since age 12, and I have experience with children with various disabilities such as Down Syndrome, ADD/ADHD, ODD and various behavioural issues. | While I have not worked formally as a Babysitter, since I was a teen I’ve helped taking care of babies in my family. I had an aunt who had twins, she was very delicate coming out of the hospital, so I helped her for 5 months to take care of her newborn babies, I helped her feed them, bathe them, change them and put them to bed. I also helped other family members with their older children, watching them overnight and even cooking some meals for them and making healthy snacks. As for the tutoring and watching over homework or school assignments, I was an English teacher, and I had students from a very wide range of ages, going from 5 year olds to high school teenagers.

Family is my biggest value in life and that is what ultimately lead me to Muskoka in late 2016 and then Ottawa 2019. | Hello, I am a university student looking to make some extra money in these crazy times, I have been babysitting since I was 15 up to 3 kids at once, also was a camp counsellor at an over night summer camp, very comfortable around kids and would love it help out a family who is struggling with child care right now

| Though I have never had any formal babysitting/nanny experience, I have watched many of my own cousins children. In these situations, I was responsible for making meals, bathing, supervising play (including swimming), and putting the children to bed. I have also worked as an overnight camp counsellor for the past 3 summers at Camp Quin-Mo-Lac. In this role I was 1 of 3-4 counsellors responsible for a group of 15 children for the week of their stay. The groups I was responsible for ranged in age from 7-14. As a counsellor, I was responsible for creating and enforcing safety rules, administering basic first aid, ensuring medications were taken on time, cooking meals, organizing activities, and encouraging hygienic practices (for both themselves and their cabins). I am also certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR-B. I am comfortable with any roles that being a nanny might entail. However, I do not have a vehicle and rely on walking or public transit, meaning I would not be able to carry out pickup/drop-off duties.
